WINTER 2015

GREETINGS CITIZENS

We hope this newsletter finds you well and warm. As for us--well, we’ve been keeping it cosmic per usual and have some especially exciting things to share with you.
.
.
.
.

To start things off, Anna Dello Russo gave Joan Smalls a little H0LES sparkle in Vogue Japan

Then Glamour got a dose of mind-bending beauty when Ellen von Unwerth shot Chanel Iman with and through H0LES

Click to watch the behind-the-scenes

Nicola Formichetti had to have a pair for every girl in his J-pop sensation, Color-Code, who debuted their look in V Magazine

The most sickening person alive, Sharon Needles, gave looks wearing H0LES in her musical ode to the ever gorgeous Amanda Lepore

Fellow Drag Race alum Adore Delano donned a pair of H0LES goggles in her music video, 'I Look Fuckin Cool' while--as the track title suggests--looking fucking cool.

Meanwhile on the Interwebs...

Lena Dunham took a break from being a boss to get weird with H0LES OD, our most heavily faceted specs.

Then Chris Brown fell into H0LES

Swedish songstress Lykke Li is loving them too...

Along with fashion legend, Jeremy Scott

And while it's 99.99% likely these are photoshopped, we'd still like to thank the the internet for these visionary digital H0LES manifestations

As a final news-bit, The Wall Street Journal spotted Harry Treadaway donning the frames we crafted for the New Museum at a Burberry sponsored dinner.

Well put, Mr. Treadaway. May we also mention H0LES are completely legal?

Art Basel Miami Beach 2014 was surreal.
Fun, sun, art and parties galore got us dizzy with excitement and eager to connect with fans.

Our swimming_H0LES created for ABMB 2014

H0LES had the pleasure of being asked to contribute an installation for an Interview Magazine event to celebrate Performa’s 10th anniversary and the opening of the Thompson Hotel. It was a gorgeous evening with glamour and fun oozing from every corner.

We contributed our own sparkle of course, creating a custom viewfinder p0rtal with H0LES crystal lenses.

A view through the p0rtal

Part of larger series of installations, the first being made in steel and planted in Detroit, we hope to eventually scatter these prism portals around the globe.

Please contact us if you'd like a H0LES_portal in your city.

The next night a RARE SEA bloomed in the pool at Loews Hotel. Guests were invited to explore an underwater installation by artists Swoon and Monica Canilao wearing swimming_H0LES goggles.

Of course the H0LES_p0rtal was present if you wanted to dive in without getting wet.

Société Perrier considered it one of the "Top 5 Quirkiest Exhibits"
We'll take that as a compliment!

A few weeks later, 2015 was rung in with a pansexual kaboom at Los Angeles’ alternative to everything party, A Club Called Rhonda. We set up on the chic rooftop of The Standard Hotel and were sold out by time the champagne popped in the new year. Talk about serving looks.

.
.
.
.

Once we recovered from New Year's, we trekked out to the desert to pop-up at CES Las Vegas--the biggest tech showcase of the year.

H0LES was nestled in the Refinery 29 suite along with wearables from Opening Ceremony, Chromat and Little Bits

Could there be a high-tech future for H0LES...? Stay tuned!

What else can we ever say here in this digital love letter but THANK YOU. For sharing and caring, for liking and loving. But mostly for being curious and open. If we helped you see the world in a new way, just know you've done the same for us too.

Sincerely,

H0LES

I'm happy to report we were invited to open up a p0rtal at Museo Tamayo in Mexico City.

We played dress up, made new friends and used our hands to communicate alot because mi español es muy malo.

We left a little something behind so be sure to stop by if you're in Mexico City!
.
.
.
.

Next, we mosey'd onto Austin, Texas to pop-up our giant eyeball for the SXSW music festival.

H0LES_HQ

Just casually hanging in an eyeball, y'all

We met so many incredible H0LES fans

Including Steve Aoki, whose brain we might have melted (sorry bb, xo)

Finally we arrived back in NYC just in time for BeautyCon, where we created a rainbow hOles palace fit for any prismatic queen--ours being friend and performance artist, Gage of the Boone.

THOUGHTS FROM THE PORTAL DOOR

While many think H0LES help you escape reality, we like to think you can instead rediscover the magic that exists all around you (insert image of kaleidoscopic email inbox...)

So here's to reality, y'all!

Many t
hanks for letting us be part of yours.

Sincerely,

H0LES
